Viewable with Any Browser

Long ago, web pages often had “best viewed with Browser X” or some such text included in them. As Tim Berners-Lee put it, this is equivalent to “yearning for the bad old days, before the Web, when you had very little chance of reading a document written on another computer, another word processor, or another network.” I wholeheartedly agree—content that is unreadable on whatever system you're using is all but worthless. That's why I support the Viewable with Any Browser Campaign. This site may look different (and subjectively better) on different browsers, but, to the best of my ability, the content will be readable on any browser.

XHTML 1.0 & CSS 2.0 1

The easiest way to make this work is to write in accordance with some readily available standard (preferably, one that web browser creators subscribe to as well). The ones I've chosen to conform to are XHTML 1.0 for content and CSS Level 2 for presentation. Any browser which conforms to these specifications will render the pages exactly as they're intended.
